The next Team Sol Oregon meet.......

There has been a couple of thoughts tossed around for the next meet, but we need ideas and imputs.

1. What days are people available, or if enough time is given, can people get a day off???

2. Anything you really think would be cool for a meet?

There has been talk of a trip out to the beach, which would be fun. Not sure on which one or when so post your thoughts on that too.


We are completely open to ideas, so please post!!!

Well, I'm going to be in Alaska from August 23rd and returning on September 15th. Regarding venues, I think more of our members seem to be from the Portland area, so maybe Lincoln City somewhere? Or maybe Lincoln City -> Casinos, cruise to some beach..... I've never really been to Seaside either? Hmmm....

Well, I sent out an email to the list of members that I've got, and hopefully we'll get some good discussion here so we can nail down a date and venue ASAP. =o)

I think Lincoln City is a great idea. I don't know if there is a beach close, but any cruise is cool.

Well, sounds like it's still just a few of us that's gonna plan out meets for now. Jason, would you be willing to head this one up? You and Cindy could make a nice little weekend trip pretty soon to scope out a nice drive and meeting area. I woulda done it, but I've gotta get all packed up and moved by tomorrow, then I'm leaving to go home. If you do (PLEASE....), just let me know the info, and I'll be sure and post it on the webpage and disseminate the information ASAP.

I'm up for it. I've only got a few days that I can have off. Probably between the 17th and the 30th of September. I really wanna make it to this one. Sucks to be left out. You guys know that the import challenge is on the 22nd right? Maybe we can go to the beach and then to the races the next day? How about camping out at the beach?

Yea I will take a look at finding a place to meet up. I won't be able to take the trip before we go, but I will just find something that I know.

I know this would be REALLY short notice, (and I know Veris couldn't go), but what about Labor day?? Monday the 3rd. If anyone has objections let us know. I just thought it would be good for getting out of work.

Otherwise I am thinking about the 16th, and Seaside. The beach is right there, there is little shops, and the bumper cars. It is about an hour or so from Hillsboro, and we could all meet up at the 185th exit off of HWY 26.

If you happen to talk to any of the guys/girls that come to the meets, and don't have a computer, let them know about this.

may i ask what Team SOL Oregon is?

I live in Oregon & Lincoln City is literally on the beach. They have a casino there. And I'm sure if you wanted to you could go a little further south & charter a boat, or take a whale watching tour, tho I'm not sure if it's 'whale season'.

The coast weather is usually great in September and I think having the next meet at the coast is a great idea.

The only problem with Labor Day, that I can see, is the really heavy traffic.

Either Lincoln City or Seaside is O.K.
